Defend the Rhino with Data and AI

Join our live, interactive online lesson that gets pupils using maths and data science to help stop a gang of rhino poachers.

We’ll be analysing CCTV data from a South African national park, then building a machine learning model that recognises images of poachers.

Teachers: Designed for learners aged 9-13. Particularly those interested in AI and protecting endangered animals.

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network. In this practical course you’ll get an introduction to LinkedIn, understand how it works, and learn how to use it to present yourself to a professional audience.

This workshop will be a mix of need-to-know knowledge and practical skills. You’ll find out how to take control of your online presence, and then get hands on setting up and building your profile.

This course is for freelance film & TV practitioners who work in all departments, at all levels. This course is being organised by BECTU Vision.

Exploring ways to use digital tools in the classroom

We will share the most popular and powerful digital tools apps, which have been recommended from teachers across different subjects and stages.

We will explore AI tools or apps that support literacy and writing, tools for maths and numeracy, and tools that allow learners to be creative with technology.

• Demonstrations of tools in action and how they can be used by educators.

• Tools that are free to access, and don’t take up a lot of time to set up or learn how to use.

• Practical examples for use in the classroom.
