Whether you’re sipping coffee in a bustling café or hopping on public transportation, keep a watchful eye on your beloved gadgets. Avoid leaving them unattended or in plain sight when not in use. Opportunistic thieves are always on the lookout for easy targets. 

When you head out for adventures, leave your gadgets securely locked in the hotel safe. It’s a small step that can save you from a big headache.

While they may seem tempting, exercise caution when connecting to unknown networks (free Wi-Fi), especially if you’re dealing with sensitive tasks like online banking or accessing private accounts. Fake Wi-Fi hotspots can be set up by cunning cybercriminals to steal your data. Instead, rely on the secure connectivity provided by your 3G or 4G network provider.

Think twice before posting in real-time. It can be tempting to share our amazing holiday snaps with friends on social media immediately. 

But the problem is you can’t be sure who’s going to see what you’ve posted. You could be unintentionally advertising that your home is unoccupied (even just for a weekend), running risk of having it broken into. Better to wait until you’ve returned home to share those holiday stories and photos. 

Tip: Instagram lets you schedule posts. You can just relive the memories of the previous week. ?
