Sixteen young people from across London joined Daniel and Craig for a week of practical cyber security experiences, workshops, and talks.
Delivered in partnership with The Prince’s Trust and Ada College, the National College for Digital Skills, we (Digital Skills Education) developed and delivered a series of cyber security themed taster sessions.
The goal: To encourage young people interested in technology to consider an apprenticeship in cyber security through a fun course in a supportive environment.
The result: Several participants applied for an apprenticeship immediately afterwards!
“This was a really fun course to write and deliver. Amongst a million other things, we made spoof websites, role-played through a cyber attack, sleuthed through some forensic evidence, and picked locks (fan favourite).
It’s so important to give people a fun, supportive, and playful opportunity to gain confidence and experience an industry before making big career decisions.”
Daniel Devine, Head of Programmes
Here’s what we got up to:
“It was an exhausting but interesting week that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I met loads of great, like-minded people and learned many new and interesting skills related to both cyber and physical security, including social engineering, using digital forensics tools, and lock picking (my favourite)”

“What a successful week with a fantastic group of young people – a real credit to The Prince’s Trust and the work that they do. I was so impressed by their level of engagement and professionalism.
Well done to all the young people, they were such a focused and dedicated team and enjoyed getting first insights into topics such as ethical hacking, social engineering, physical security, digital forensics and AI.”
